Like A Star

We have been practising hard for this day, 27th Jan. Although we were not competing, we still had to put up a good performance as a sub-club under CAC, for Funka finals at Youth Park.

With just a little bit of final rehearsing, and some motivation prep talk from Zee and cheer, we were soon up on stage at around 7pm...

Go d'hoppers!

The big group

It was the same dance we did during our Welcome Tea but is the extended full version.

Funny faces

Posing before the Girls coming in

And I gotta give credit to a professional photographer who took nice photos of us, in fact the entire event. So im leaving his name on his photos uncropped... Ha.

The 'Guys' in action

The Girls' turn

Partner works. Not some mass dance!

End of partner works pose!

Lyrical hip hop time and everyone's together

Back facing

Ending soon

But too bad, there isn't any group shot with our final ending pose. Ha.

Anyway, we did our best on stage, with some cheers from the crowd (though im not sure if the cheers were the positive kind or sarcastic kind). Afterall, our amateur standards definitely can't be compared with the pros in the finals of this competition.

As for me, though i had injured my foot prior to this, it wasn't in my mind nor hinder me at all when i jumped, spun, and stamped my foot.

After the performance, we were just hanging around, resting, watching the finalists on stage, taking pictures, waiting for results, and eating supper at Cineleisure. Ha.

A random picture i thought it looks funny. No, you aren't supposed to see me

It was definitely another good experience - making new friends, learning new choreograph, gaining performing experience, enjoying the tiring but fruitful process etc.

If interested, here are the videos of the champion group of this competition... bear the shouts of some guy and couldn't really hear the music.

Champion group - Trademark

And i think the 1st runner up group is equally good as well. They won the Best Choreograph. But the champion group probably won with entertainment, using YMCA song at the back!

The 1st runner up - E Dee Vance

Anyway, with the performance coming to an end, it was time to get back to studies. No more staying late in school almost every nights!

Though it seems im not the type who study... Ha.
