The Very Last Week

Our last week and last few days at Cedar Point - 23 to 31 July - was probably quite unmotivational to work for us.

Yet, it was the last few chances for us to cherish the time we had in Cedar Point, the rides, the friends etc.

While the rest were enjoying themselves at Niagara Falls (read: here and here), I was still stuck to working. But nonetheless, on 26 Jul, all 4 of us finally, yes finally have the chance for a small excursion.

The hanging traffic lights at Cedar Point Drive::The skyline of Cedar Point
Stampede waiting behind the barriers while we were already inside the park!

So early in the morning, 3 of us except YL who as usual couldnt wake up early went for the Maverick ride. And more rides later in the morning.

Oldest roller coaster - Blue Streak::Calypso
Troika::Cannot-make-it pirate ship

In fact, we tried those small rides only. Later, we proceeded out of Cedar Point to the nearby Sandusky Downtown area. It was my first time there in 3 months whereas for the others, it was probably their 105th time.

Some plaza with flowers::The public library with such nice feel
A small fountain::Our only transportation - The Blue Bus

For 4 hours, we were in the library, trying to print and book our travelling's accomodation, tours, flights etc. All in a rush. And later, we were on our way to the town area for dinner. Ended up at Ryan's where we had dinner buffet.

The building::Just US$8.81 for the dinner buffet::Pasta
Steak::Some puff::The very stiff, overcooked steak
YT's masterpiece - My Kodak Moment::Self-made ice-cream::Still eating

I still like the spaciousness in USA, unlike Singapore's crampiness

And after a very full dinner, went back to the park for more rides and show. Well, rode on the Magnum XL-200 3 times and failed to get a perfect ride picture. Gave up and went to watch the nightly Hot Summerlight show. It was just screening, lights, fire and some pyrotechnics. But nonetheless, my first time to really sit down and watch.

The big screen showing video and fireworks occasionally appeared

And the climax was the 'God Bless the USA' segment....

Fireworks at the end, so keep watching!

It was really a nice song. In fact, there is another song - 'God Bless America' by Celine Dion that we often heard played in Cedar Point at 10am.

Anyway, with that, it marked the end of our day... Ha

And the next day 27 Jul, we were out again, but this time without KR who was working.

So we watched 'The Misadventures of Molly and Maverick' - an old west cowboy story that was very funny and entertaining...

And also Snoopy's Summer Vacation - an ice-skating show featuring breath-stopping skating stunts...

And played Ripcord with YT and went to the mall for a haircut which turn out lousy as expected....

Ripcord::The Cockscrew roller coaster that cut across the walkway
Under the Powertower::Waiting at the Hair Saloon

Well, then, we were leaving in 4 days time. Quite fast yah..

Then on our very last day, 31 Jul, we were in a rush because we must leave at around 6.30pm to catch our bus to New York at 7.45pm. I was still packing my bag in the morning on the last day and didnt have time to play any more rides...

My typical meal - Cheeseburger and fries::The process-out form
One last photo before we leave....::Bidding farewell with our Taiwanese room mate

And so we processed out at 3.30pm, returned our uniform, made one last farewell to our collegues, packed our luggages and finally returned our keys to our apartment at around 6.40pm......

P.S. Finally finished my Cedar Point's posts while KR already on LA's post... So fast.
