The fever subsides

The election is finally over, and i believed the results are quite expected... as usual.

Chiam has retained his seat. Glad he did with an increased number of votes.

The $80 million plan backfired? Or the support from Goh was a mistake?

Chiam's campaigning efforts has sure paid off. I have seen him circling round at the carparks around my block on his lorry on two different days, everytime asking people to support him through the loudspeaker. On the other hand, i have not seen his opponent at all during the campaigning period...

Just 20 minutes after the result was announced, he was back in his lorry to thank his supporters. Indeed, he received resounding cheers and applauds from many residents at their flats. And i could even see 4 youngters hitting onto their pots and pans together, while at the same time shouting Chiam's name, right from their kitchen window. How amusing.

Goh was wrong about winning and that he will transfer Seetoh out.

I shall wait and see if he keeps to his words.
